The drive through Deeside to Braemar is extraordinary, passing Crathie Church (where the Royal Family attend Sunday service), Balmoral and the dramatic Cairngorms landscape. A brilliant hen day trip.
Aberdeen has a surprisingly lively nightlife scene for its size. Union Street and the surrounding streets have a good mix of cocktail bars, independent venues and clubs. The student population from the University of Aberdeen and Robert Gordon University keeps the nightlife vibrant. The city is more affordable than Edinburgh or Glasgow, making it good value for a hen night.
